Starting out on the blogging journey ....

Well who knows where this wee experiment might take me, but here goes into the wide world of blogging.  On a cold rainy day it seems a good way to add another string to the bow.  I am loving following some of my fellow Kiwi bloggers who are wonderfully creative and crafty.  Inspirational people out there, ladies.

This Mum of two's plan for the next couple of months (don't tell the husband who wants me out to work quicko) is to enjoy a peaceful household with both children now at school.  The study has already been cleaned out and set up with the sewing machine out permanently.  Loving that space!  A friend's old dining table has become the craft table, and it's a great spot to leave half finished projects without having to clear everything away.  Husband has even set up a TV for me to watch the Olympic games - just need a coffee machine and I'll never leave the room!

I set up a Felt website a while back and although it's taken a while to figure out what takes my fancy, I am slowly finding my feet and loving where it's taking me.  I have long been a closet Op Shopper and Inorganic Collection hoarder and this is a great excuse to indulge even more.  I have been busy lately making paper lovelies out of old books and cards, and sewing new lovelies out of old fabric.  Loving Mum's material cupboard clean out the other week - I could name just about every outfit she's made my sister and I from the remnants.  Great memories.

Onwards and upwards to my first market since having babies (7 great years) at Devonport Craft Market this Sunday 5th August.  Just a small cash float to suss out and she's all go.  If I sell anything it's a bonus, it will be great to get back into the swing of things and meet other great crafty people.  If I sell 5 items, I think I'll buy myself a nice bottle of something bubbly.
